Responsibilities Provide Collaborative Nursing Support- including support in the queue, lab follow-up calls, administrative tasks Maintain Efficient Patient Flow Room Patients Take Vitals Perform Lab Draws Administer Appropriate Injections Other Duties as Requested or Assigned Qualifications Medical Assistant - Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program Current CPR Certification is Required Current Certified MA or Registered MA is Preferred (must be willing to obtain certification / registration within 6 months of hire) 2-3 Years of Experience Preferred, Oncology Experience Helpful Clinical Assistant - Current CPR Certification is Required 2-3 Years of Experience Preferred, Oncology Experience Helpful One of the Following is Required : Diploma or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant Program Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with 1 year direct care experience Additional Attributes : Strong Desire to Learn Flexibility Ability to Multi-task Can Successfully Prioritize Tasks Strong Organizational Skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Self-Starter PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
